Stop writing the first draft
The draft is not where the value is. Hand it over, and put the recovered hours into the thing a model cannot do: having a point of view.

Open the registryThe situation
Every piece started with two hours of staring, then four hours of drafting, then an edit. The edit was the only part that reliably improved the work.
What we did
The agent drafts from a brief and a source pack, and repurposes finished work into other formats. It never publishes. Every factual claim carries a source, and the editor verifies a sample of them rather than all of them — verifying all of them costs more than writing.
What changed
Time to first draft fell sharply. Total editorial time fell far less, once review is counted honestly — which is the figure to track. The real gain was that two of the four people started doing interviews again.
What to watch for
- Fabricated detail arrives in fluent, confident prose. Fluency is not accuracy.
- Training-data provenance and output ownership are unsettled in several markets. Read the indemnity.
- The failure mode is not bad writing. It is output that meets the brand system and says nothing.
